Common problems and error messages
How to diagnose and resolve the four most common categories of problems: downloads, installation, launching and status.
TroubleshootingLegacy and EnhancedLast updated October 7, 2026
1. Download problems
- Download failed: check your connection and click Retry; the client continues from where it stopped. If it keeps failing, switch networks.
- Verification failed: the file was damaged in transit. Delete the task and download it again.
- Download busy: wait for the current task to finish, or restart the client to release the task.
2. Installation problems
- Missing required components: install what the client lists and try again.
- The game environment must be installed first: install the environment for the matching edition.
- A file is owned by another Mod: uninstall or disable the Mod that owns it and try again.
- Reinstall required: files in the game folder are incomplete. Run the installation again; files that were already downloaded are reused.
3. Launch and game problems
- The Mod has no effect after launching: make sure its status is Enabled and that the installed edition matches the game you launched.
- The game will not start: uninstall the most recently installed Mod first, confirm the game starts normally, then install Mods again one by one.
- Do not launch the game during an installation, or the installation is stopped and has to be run again.
4. Status and records
- A Mod shows Reinstall required: files in the game folder were moved or deleted. Running the installation again restores it.
- The list does not match reality: switch to another page and back, or focus the client window again, to trigger a status refresh.
- Leftovers after uninstalling: uninstall the Mod once more in Mod Management, or send us the log through the help center so we can investigate.
5. When you report a problem, please include
- The client version (shown on the About page).
- The game edition (Legacy or Enhanced).
- The Mod name and the steps that led to the problem.
- Any error code the client displayed.
