Before you start, make sure the game is not running and that you have enough free disk space. The client takes care of the rest.
1. Choose your game edition
Legacy and Enhanced are two separate environments, and Mods cannot be installed across them. If the wrong edition is selected, the client stops writing and asks you to switch.
2. Prepare the required components
Required components are what other Mods depend on. The client checks for them before installing:
- Missing component: install it from the Mod Market.
- Component disabled: enable it in Mod Management and try again.
- Component needs repair: reinstall it in Mod Management.
3. Start the installation
After you click One-click install, the activity island at the top of the window shows the current stage:
- Download arrow: downloading the installation files.
- Wrench: preparing or installing, writing components into the game folder.
- Shield: verifying the files that were written.
- Checkmark: finished.
Do not launch the game while an installation is running, or the installation will be stopped.
If the installation fails
Open the Downloads page, find the task and click Install to retry. If the client asks for a fresh installation, uninstall the Mod in Mod Management first and install it again. Files that were already downloaded are kept and will not be downloaded twice.
