Download the client installer from the official website at gtamod.site. Do not use installers from unknown third-party sources.
1. Download
Open the website and click Download client. The browser redirects to the official object storage address and starts the download. The installer file is named GTAV-Mod-Manager-<version>-x64.exe.
If the download is interrupted or the file looks incomplete, download it again. Do not install from a truncated file.
2. Install
- Close any running game and client before you start.
- Run the installer and follow the prompts; no manual configuration is needed.
- On first launch the client checks your environment and detects the installed GTA V edition and game folder.
3. Updates
The client supports two kinds of update:
- Hot update: replaces program resources only. It is used for small fixes and does not require downloading the full installer again.
- Full installer: when a release changes the runtime environment, the client asks you to update with the full installer instead.
Tip: when the client asks for the full installer, download it from the website and install it over the current version. Your account, membership benefits, downloaded files and installed Mod records are all kept.
4. Common questions
- “Game not found” after installation: check the game folder in Settings, or launch the game once to complete its first-time initialization.
- The client will not start after an update: download the full installer and install it over the current version. Do not replace files inside the program folder by hand.
